Brockenhurst College took over the running of the Hengistbury Head Outdoor Education Centre on 1st September 2009.  Continued growth and an increasing reputation both regionally and nationally has seen expansion in all aspects of this special establishment.  Investment in the buildings, the facilities and the development of wide ranging outdoor land and sea based activities has led to Hengistbury Head Outdoor Education Centre building a hub for business, schools, colleges coming to visit us.

Our primary aim is to enhance the social and personal development of the young and old through the joy of being educated in outdoor pursuits.

State of the art facilities

This is achieved by capitalising on the Centre's beautiful location, its state of the art facilities, spacious and fully equipped training and class rooms, new piping hot showers and changing facilities, top of the range land and water-based sporting equipment and private pontoons, and disability ramps built by Brockenhurst College students.

Stunning views for BBQs or picnics

The Hengistbury Head Outdoor Education Centre is situated in a nature reserve, nestled in the heart of the beautiful 7000 year old Christchurch Harbour.  For those wishing to eat 'Al Fresco' there is a BBQ area with picnic tables looking out over the stunning harbour.

We provides a safe and enjoyable environment for all ages and abilities

A further £100,000 has been committed to spend on the Centre over the next 5 years to further enhance the Centre’s facilities and develop its sporting activities.
