Our aims and values
Our values are to provide a relaxed and friendly atmosphere for parents and children in an honest and open environment. We aim to achieve this by:
- Encouraging the children to work in groups and independently and to co-operate with one another, sharing ideas and feelings and listening to each other.
- Providing opportunities for the children to become valued members of the Nursery promoting a strong self image and self esteem.
- Giving children the confidence to communicate in a widening range of situations and to make decisions.
- Promoting enthusiasm for learning in all areas of development.
- Providing the space and equipment needed to encourage the development of fine and gross motor skills.
- Forming a partnership with parents and keeping them fully informed of their child's progress through diaries, personal development records and informal discussion.
- Promoting a healthy and safe environment and encouraging and promoting good practice in childcare through being good role models.
