Sixth Form application process
Step 1 – Application
September – February
You can visit our website and apply online. We need all applications by the beginning of February, but the earlier we receive them the better. Applications received after 7 February will be considered, but your choice of subjects may depend on availability.
Step 2 – Interview and offer
October onwards
We will hold interviews from October at either the College, your school or over the telephone. Details of how to book your interview will be available on your Application Portal. At your interview you will be able to talk through your study options and future plans. You will also have the opportunity to tell us what you have done so far. In particular, we will want to see your Record of Achievement file, recent school reports, exam results and identification. You will receive
an email offering you a place and outlining your provisional course choices following a successful interview.
Step 3 – Freshers’ Days
June
This is your opportunity to sample your chosen courses, explore the campus and meet some of your new friends. It is really important that you attend this day so you are confident about your course choices.
Step 4 – Enrolment Portal
July
In July we will email you your Enrolment appointment and give you access to your Enrolment Portal. You will also be able to upload some of the information we need from you. For example, we need a passport-sized photograph to go on your student record, and you must confirm your personal details.
Step 5 – Enrolment
August
At the end of August you will discuss your GCSE results with us and confirm your chosen courses. You will also select your Enrichment options.
Step 6 – Induction
September
September’s Induction Day will be your first day as a new student. You will meet your Welcome Tutor and other students in your tutor group. You will also receive your timetable for the year.
