Explore abstraction using representational images as a resource starting point. You will experiment with shapes, colours, juxtaposition, overlapping, enlarging and reducing to create a creative and abstracted development from the original source.
You will be taught through practical demonstration and hands on experience.

You can progress on to further workshops planned throughout the year or on to a 10 week Drawing and Painting course.
Please bring along:
Please bring your favoured medium i.e. acrylics, watercolours, coloured pencils etc. However, you will explore composition first using thumbnail sketches for which you will require a pencil and cartridge paper. These will be used as a reference to work up into a finished painting(s) and for this purpose you will need to bring along your favoured medium and suitable painting surface. The Tutor will bring suitable resources for painting or you can bring your own along to the workshop.
Please bring a packed lunch.
