The Access to Higher Education course provides an alternative route to university for adults without the formal qualifications or traditional academic background required for entry to a degree level qualification. The student's chosen course will provide full university entrance requirements for degree level education.
Course Structure & Teaching Methods
The diploma consists of 60 credits all at level 3; 57 credits are of academic content and 3 credits of study skills.
The academic credits are from 4 subjects within each diploma. The teaching methods include a wide variety of lectures, practical work and research.

The diploma is evaluated through continuous assessment at the end of each unit. The assessment will include some exams and some research amongst other things.
