Beauty is a dynamic and ever-expanding economic sector that constantly needs new recruits who understand the latest techniques and health and safety rules.
At Brock we are fortunate to have our own professional-grade training centre, which comprises two salons and two IT suites, plus a refreshment area.
Thanks to this facility you will learn in an authentic and up-to-date setting that contains everything you would expect to find in a modern beauty salon.
Importantly, you will learn from highly experienced beauty professionals.
- Provide body massage
- Provide body electrotherapy treatments
- Provide facial electrotherapy treatments
- Monitor and maintain health and safety practice in the salon
- Client care and communication in beauty-related industries
- Provide massage using pre-blended aromatherapy oils
Minimum entry requirements
Beauty Specialists Level 2 Diploma or equivalent is desirable but not essential.
How will I be assessed?
You will learn in a variety of ways including through research, discussion, assignments, coursework and case studies.
Furthermore, you will gain important insights and awareness by evaluating your fellow students’ work and listening to feedback.
You will also watch demonstrations and carry out treatments on clients, as well as each other.
Information & support
You will need to acquire a uniform consisting of tunic, trousers and shoes – please contact us for an order form. During your interview there will be a sample of each size of uniform for you to try.
Reference books will be advised. Meanwhile, a container to transport your materials, plus a folder to organise your case studies, will be required.
Course fees & Duration
This course will last 36 weeks.
There is a tuition fee of £3,345.
You may be eligible for an Advanced Learner Loan if you are aged 19+.

What can I do with this qualification?
This qualification can lead to a variety of career opportunities including becoming a beauty therapist or massage therapist in salons, spas, or on cruise ships.
Several past students have gone on to become nail technicians and sports therapists, with some establishing their own businesses.
Other career options include becoming a representative for a beauty products supplier.
Alternatively, with more training you could become a holistic therapist, aroma therapist, reflexologist or acupuncturist.
