Art Beginners – an introduction to painting in Oils and Acrylics
Course Details
Learn how to paint in acrylics and oils using basic painting techniques, which will include, sponging, palette knife, glazing, colour washes, stippling etc.
A structured week by week course encouraging you to grow and expand your skills, beginning with drawing then progressing to painting with oils and acrylics.
A new subject or theme will be chosen fortnightly using a combination of still life and photographs.
Information & Support
Suitable for beginners in drawing and painting or those who wish to develop their skills and techniques.
Group activity in a relaxed and informal studio setting - one to one guidance within the class.
You will need to bring:
- 2b pencil
- Cartridge paper or sketch pad
- Eraser
- Any materials you may already have

Are there any age restrictions (young/old)?
Students need to be 19 years old or over.
There is no upper age limit.
