Teaching & learning
You will learn by carrying out assignments and activities that incorporate a wide range of learning experiences.
There will also be a series of practical workshops in areas such as lighting, darkroom manipulation, Photoshop, composition and equipment.
The course can be split into three main perspectives: technical analytical and creative. Your teachers will work with you to develop your skills in each of these.

Minimum entry requirements
Four GCSEs at grade A*-C or grade 4 to include:
- English language
- Art and design based subject
In addition you will be asked to provide a portfolio to demonstrate ability in art and design.
If you have previously taken level 2 Art and Design you must have achieved a Merit or distinction.
What can I do with this qualification?
