To provide a specialist work-related qualification in Carpentry and Joinery.
To prepare you for employment and/or to provide career development opportunities for those already in work.
The course is made up of units covering:
- Safe use of tools
- Health and safety
- Timber joints
The content of the course is very diverse and challenging to prepare you for work in the industry. A trade operative is always in demand and the benefit of skills and knowledge will help you become more employable or quite simply able to do tasks you never thought you would have the opportunity of accomplishing.
Course Structure & Teaching Methods
The course will run Monday and Tuesday evenings from 6pm - 9 pm at Marchwood.
Assessment will be carried out as you progress through the course. This will be in the form of examinations and practical assessments.
Site Carpentry or Bench Joinery at Level 2 or An Apprenticeship in either.
