You will learn under the supervision of carpentry and joinery experts whose experience in working and teaching makes them ideal mentors.

Teaching & learning

Our teachers use traditional teaching methods because they believe this is the best way to improve your knowledge and build your skills-set.

Written theory is kept to a minimum, so most of your learning will be through practising what you have been taught in demonstrations.

In fact, most theoretical learning will be done in the practical setting of the workshop.

Information & support

This carpentry and joinery programme focusses on helping you develop essential hand-eye coordination using a variety of bench tools.

You will also complete functional skills learning as required.

Students are required to pay a £100 materials fee at enrolment.

Students will also be required to purchase a uniform, more details will be provided at enrolment.

What can I do with this qualification?

These qualifications could lead to an apprenticeship; however, on some occasions students have gone straight into work. After some experience in the trade, site management opportunities may arise if you are willing to rise to the challenge.
