Course Details

This course will help you to understand the correct procedures to carry out repair work on composite structures.  The course covers the identification and classification of damage, the removal of the damaged area including core materials and the replacement of materials and gel coat repairs. This course is primarily for boat owners or anyone who works in the marine industry wishing to understand the correct repair procedures with fibre reinforced polymers.  It may also be of interest to those who repair other structures such as motor vehicle body panels.  You will gain a college certificate at the end of this course.

 

 

Information & Support

You will be taught by means of practical demonstration and hands on experience, by our industry experienced Lecturers/Tutors.  All materials and tools are provided but safety footwear is required in the workshop and work clothes are recommended.

Cost includes lunch.

Are there any age restrictions (young/old)?

Students need to be 19 years old or over.

There is no upper age limit.
