Drawing – Improvers
Course Details
Improve your drawing in a wide range of subjects. Explore line, tone, texture and shape. A new subject or theme will be chosen as the term progresses using a combination of books, photocopies and also pictures of your choice. Skills you learn can be used in other art courses.
A structured course with tutor demonstrations. Group and individual feedback provided each week
Information & Support
Previous drawing experience is useful but not essential.
Suggested art materials to bring:
Sketchbook A4-A2
Pencils - HB, 2B-6B
Good quality erasers
Pens - biros, fine liners etc
Pencil Sharpener
Other art materials such as colour pencils, pastels and watercolour paints will be useful but not essential and advice will be given at the class.
Please note that A1 and A2 sheets of drawing paper are available to purchase at the Centre.
Courses are run continually, and you will be able to join these to further develop your skills.

Can I start the course part way through?

What do you define as a 'beginner'?
Beginner is someone who has little or no knowledge of the subject area.

What do you define as 'intermediate'?
Intermediate is for those who have completed a beginners course with us or have some knowledge of the subject but would like to learn more.

What do you define as 'advanced'?
Advanced for those who have completed an intermediate course with us or are proficient in the subject.

Are there any age restrictions (young/old)?
Students need to be 19 years old or over.
There is no upper age limit.
