Drawing & Painting Figures

Course Details

Study the proportions of the human figure and apply to drawing and painting on their own and within a landscape. You will learn how to capture movement and scale capturing the figure in an impressionist and more structured way. You will also learn how to mix skin tones.

Please bring with you

2B Pencil and eraser

Watercolours and/or acrylics (raw sienna, alizarin crimson, ultramarine and white if using acrylics.

Square and round brushes of varying sizes

Thick cartridge paper or 300 gsm watercolour paper

(Pastels and coloured pencils will be available for use on the day if desired)

Suitable visual resources will be available however if you prefer to bring your own please do.

Information & Support

You will be taught by means of practical demonstration and hands on experience.

Beginner is someone who has little or no knowledge of the subject area.

Intermediate is for those who have completed a beginners course with us or have some knowledge of the subject but would like to learn more.

Are there any age restrictions (young/old)?

Students need to be 19 years old or over.

There is no upper age limit.
