This course gives learners the skills and confidence to respond to a range of accidents and first aid emergencies. It is especially suited to employees working for a small business or in a low-risk environment, where a nominated First Aider is not legally required. The course covers first aid protocols for adults only.

The course is classroom taught with an accredited, qualified and experienced tutor.
This course covers the basics of first aid according to the first aid regulations, specifically it will cover:
- Assessing the casualty
- Injuries to bones, muscles and joints
- Client-specific subjects including diabetes, epilepsy, allergic reactions etc.
- Wounds and bleeding
- Burns and scalds
- Shock management
- Exposure to cold and heat
How will I be assessed?
Assessed continuously throughout the course - no testing.
Information & support
You will be required to bring a pen and a notepad. You will be provided with a comprehensive visual handbook and Emergency Reference Manual.
Please wear comfortable clothing and trousers are advisable.
