Exploring Literary Classics

Explore various literary classics from The Great Gatsby, war poetry (to coincide with Remembrance Day), The Importance of Being Ernest, Frankenstein, A Streetcar Named Desire and poetry from the Romantic era – one topic for each 5 week session. Students will read extracts, discuss and analyse them and participate to explore the text further. Courses are offered throughout the year for different topics – please check with the Centre for the current topic.
Information & Support
You will need to have your own copy of the novel/play/poem to be covered but you don't need to have read it before the start of the course. Please also bring along a pen and notebook. Experienced and competent staff at our Adult Learning Centres can help you decide on your course and progression options.
