Course Details

This course represents a prime opportunity to explore the joy of mark-making and using a range of art materials to capture the essence of landscapes and seascapes. Drawing materials can include pencil, charcoal, pastel, ink, watercolour and mixed media. You will have the opportunity to create small paintings and sketches, followed by more substantial pieces using semi-abstract, abstract or realistic approaches.

Information & Support

Materials required:

  • Charcoal, pencils, kneadable eraser and watercolours (basic set).
  • Acrylic paint or water mixable oil, brushes, palette knife, water pot.
  • Apron or protective shirt.
  • Table cover (oil cloth or waterproof table cover).
  • Cartridge paper pads.
  • Canvas painting paper, small canvas boards and large canvas (A3 or A2 size).
