Course Details

The course covers the principles of floral design for those with prior experience. 

This is a practical course which will build on the themes introduced in the improvers' course and will include learning how to design a winter arrangement  incorporating beads and dried fruit; designs that integrate the use of twigs, foliage and flowers; foliage ‘haute couture’ handbag designs and big, bold and exotic large scale floral arrangements with pine cones and fruit.

Information & Support

This course is suitable for students with some prior experience. The theme for the first class will be a seasonal winter design based on students’ own ideas and interpretation.

What do I need to bring to the first  class?

·         Scissors, secateurs, stapler and an old towel (for working on)

·         Mixed evergreen foliage and flowers (garden or shop bought), twigs

·         Floral foam and plastic container (can be purchased from the tutor)

 

For later classes, you may need to purchase other decorative items as advised by the tutor.

Are there any age restrictions (young/old)?

Students need to be 19 years old or over.

There is no upper age limit.
