French Advanced

Course Details

You will build upon, improve and apply your French reading, writing, listening and speaking skills. Classes will focus on a variety of topics, enabling you to enrich your vocabulary, improve your grammar and become more fluent.

The sessions involve pair work, group work, whole class work, games, speaking, reading and writing in a relaxed and confidence-building atmosphere. There will be no formal testing, but homework will be given each week.

Information & Support

You will need a reasonable knowledge of the French language - post GCSE/O Level or equivalent. For example, you will need a working knowledge of pronouns and imperfect, past conditional, future and encountered subjunctive and past historic tenses. Please bring a notebook and pen. You will work from photocopies.

What do you define as a 'beginner'?

Beginner is someone who has little or no knowledge of the subject area.

Are there any age restrictions (young/old)?

Students need to be 19 years old or over.

There is no upper age limit.
