Gentle Fitness for Seniors – mainly seated

Course Details

This gentle exercise class can be achieved from a standing or sitting position. There will be no floor work.

Each class will commence with a flowing mobilising gentle warm up, allowing you to listen to your body as you feel the joy of physical and mental fitness.

Classes will incorporate elements of improving posture, breath control, understanding weight placement, core exercises, visualisations, qigong, tai chi, gentle dance movements such as classical port du bras, natural movement and much more.

An exploratory journey of movement to meet your own personal needs and abilities.

Information & Support

Clothing should be comfortable and non-restrictive to enable ease of movement. Shoes should be soft and comfortable and/or slipper socks. Wear layers to allow for warmth and coolness.

Please seek the advice of your medical physician if you are receiving, have had any recent treatments or are in doubt about any condition that you may have that could affect participation.

Additional courses and workshops will be offered throughout the year giving learners the opportunity to further develop their skills.

What do you define as a 'beginner'?

Beginner is someone who has little or no knowledge of the subject area.

Students need to be 19 years old or over.

There is no upper age limit.
