Gentle exercise for all – mainly standing

Course Details

This gentle exercise class will be taken mainly from a standing position but there will be seated options. There will be no floor work. Each class will commence with a flowing, mobilising gentle warm-up, allowing you to listen to your body as you feel the joy of physical and mental fitness. Classes will incorporate improving posture, breath control, understanding weight placement & improving balance, core exercises, gentle dance movements, and natural and other rhythmical movements. This leisure opportunity represents an exploratory journey of movement to meet your own personal needs and match your abilities.

Information & Support

Clothing should be comfortable and non-restrictive to enable ease of movement. Shoes should be soft and comfortable – slipper socks are also suitable. Please wear layers to allow for warmth or coolness as you wish. Please seek the advice of your medical physician if you are receiving treatment, have had any recent treatments, or are in doubt about any condition that you may have that could affect your participation. Additional courses and workshops will be offered throughout the year, giving you opportunities to further develop your skills.
