This Award is for learners wishing to apply for the Construction Skills Certification Scheme Green Card or to increase knowledge of health and safety within the construction environment.
The CSCS Green Card is intended for those working in labouring occupations only. From July 2014 CSCS has introduced a new requirement for applicants to achieve a formal knowledge based qualification, the ‘Health and Safety in a Construction Environment’ Award.
Achievement of this award will demonstrate the applicant’s understanding of key issues affecting safe working practices on UK construction sites.
You will receive a tutor lead session to enable you to gain the knowledge in health and safety in construction needed to pass the award.
Following the successful completion of this award you will also have to pass the CSCS test to gain both certificates to be able to apply for the CSCS Labourer card.
