Teaching & learning
This course is 80% practical, which means you will receive plenty of hands-on tuition and experience.

- Complete Maths and English qualifications to ensure you are qualified to enter the industry and progress to a Level 3 course.
Minimum entry requirements
Four GCSEs grade 3 and above to include:
- English Language
In addition, you must have an enthusiasm for exercise and fitness and attend gym or fitness classes regularly. You must also be at least 16 years old.

You will be expected to pay £100 for course manuals and uniforms.
Bursaries are available for students with low family income.
What can I do with this qualification?
Once qualified you may be able to find a route into the fitness industry as an apprentice. However, we recommend you complete a second year of study with us by taking the Level 3 Diploma in Personal Training.
All qualifications offered at Level 2 and Level 3 are recognised around the world in both public and private sectors. They can also be used to enrol for similar qualifications such as Metafit and Boxercise.
I chose to study at Brock because it would enable me to follow my passion for hockey while studying to become a personal trainer. I currently play hockey three times a week, which is great for improving my game.
