Course introduction

This is the new title for the former Basic/Foundation Certificate in Health and Safety in the Workplace.

The course will cover the following subjects:

  • The Law
  • Health, Safety and Welfare
  • The Workplace and Work Equipment
  • Risk Assessment
  • Manual Handling
  • Hazardous Substances
  • Ergonomics and Workstation Design
  • Transport and Vehicles
  • Noise and Vibration

Course structure

The course is classroom taught with an accredited, qualified and experienced tutor.

Multiple choice exam at the end of the course.

What can I do with this qualification?

Following this course you may wish to undertake qualifications in Manual Handling, COSHH, Risk Assessment or the Level 3 Certificate in Supervising Health and Safety.
