Course introduction

This programme is an in-depth study of the health and social care sector, which gives you everything you need to achieve both academic and career progression.

  • Investigate psychological perspectives on health and social care in order to develop heightened skills of emotional intelligence.

Understand how to be an effective practitioner in preventing and controlling infections.

Minimum entry requirements

Four GCSEs at grade 4 and above to include:

  • English Language
  • Maths
  • Science

It is desirable that you have undertaken a work placement in a healthcare setting.

What can I do with this qualification?

Once qualified you could seek employment as a healthcare professional in hospitals, residential homes and out in the community.

This qualification also opens doors to health and social care degrees, including: Midwifery, Adult and Paediatric Nursing, Paramedic Science, ODP, Physiotherapy, Counselling and Social Work.
