Minimum entry requirements
Four GCSEs at grade 3 and above to include:
- English Language
Due to recent government guidance (NOV 2021), all students who enter a care residence as part of their studies will need to show proof of vaccination or exemption, unless they are under 18 or visiting as a member of the family or a
friend of a resident. With this in mind, if you are wishing to pursue a career in Health, vaccinations will be the expectation when caring for and protecting others.
Information & support
You will need to be available for one day of work experience per week.
A DBS check will be required.
What can I do with this qualification?
Once you have achieved success on your course you may decide to seek an apprenticeship opportunity in health and social care to gain further professional experience.
Alternatively, you may wish to proceed straight onto a Level 3 vocational course. This will not only make you more qualified, but will open the prospect of applying to study a healthcare subject at university.
