Course Details

The members of our Club are aged from 16-80, and the relaxed atmosphere is perfect for you to practice your skills, try different types of boats and enjoy sailing in the beautiful surroundings of Christchurch Harbour, all at minimal cost.  This is a great way for you to get rid of the stresses of everyday life whilst improving your sailing skills amongst like-minded individuals.  Volunteer instructors and experienced sailors are always on hand to offer you guidance and provide safety cover.

Information & Support

Experience Required: Adult RYA Level 2 or equivalent

This course is suitable for those aged 16+. 

The Centre has a team of experienced sailing staff, who will guide you through these early stages of sailing.  The shallow waters of Christchurch Harbour make it an ideal place to learn to sail.

Cost & Duration

There is a cost of £10 for each 3 hour session, plus an annual membership of £12

Frequently Asked Questions

Are there any age restrictions (young/old)?

Students need to be 19 years old or over.

There is no upper age limit.

Can I start the course part way through?

For some courses, this may be possible.  Please contact leisurecourses@brock.ac.uk to confirm.

What do you define as a 'beginner'?

Beginner is someone who has little or no knowledge of the subject area.

What do you define as 'intermediate'?

Intermediate is for those who have completed a beginners course with us or have some knowledge of the subject but would like to learn more.
