Course Details
Paddle Power Passport is ideal for those with little or no experience. You will be on the water most of the day in this highly practical course, learning the basics of canoeing and kayaking. The British Canoe Union 'Paddle Power Passport' has four levels for you to complete, all of which can be gained on this course.
It will take several sessions to complete all four levels of this award. Your instructor will get you playing games and going for short journeys which is all part of the fun of learning to paddle.
Information & Support
Experience required: None
This course is suitable for those aged 7-15.
The Centre has a team of experienced staff, who will guide your child through these early stages of their paddlesports experience. The shallow waters of Christchurch Harbour make it an ideal place to learn.
Your child will need to bring shoes for the water eg beach shoes or wetsuit boots (not crocs or flip flops as these come off too easily) and swimwear to wear under a wetsuit. If staying for the day, they will also need to bring snacks, lunch and plenty to drink. Suncream and hats are advisable too. All other equipment is supplied, eg wetsuits, bouyancy aids and helmets.
