Course Details

This RYA approved course is designed for those who want to provide rescue cover for a club, escort a racing fleet, or just improve their powerboat handling when dealing with other crafts.

Most of this highly practical course takes place on the water, giving you hands-on experience in rescuing windsurfers, kayakers and a range of dinghies.

It also incorporates the theory and practise of carrying out a search, using a VHF radio and first aid afloat.

Information & Support

Experience required: Powerboat Level 2

This course is suitable for those aged 16+.

There is a cost of £260 for this two day course.

Are there any age restrictions (young/old)?

Students need to be 19 years old or over.

There is no upper age limit.

Can I start the course part way through?

Beginner is someone who has little or no knowledge of the subject area.
