iPad/Tablet for Seniors – Part 1

Course Details

This is a short course for learners who wish to bring along their own iPad/tablet computer and continue to learn how to use it. 

By the end of the course, the student will understand:

• Setting up wireless connection
• Set up the iPad/tablet – type colours, speak, assistive touch (as applicable to device)     
• Password protection
• Basic navigation
• Setting up calendar
• Installing/moving/deleting and organising apps.

Please bring along writing materials, notebook/A4 file and your iPad/tablet computer.

The teaching is tutor led in well equipped rooms with explanations, demonstrations, lectures, question and answer and discussion.

Are there any age restrictions (young/old)?

Students need to be 19 years old or over.

There is no upper age limit.

Can I start the course part way through?

For some courses, this may be possible.  Please contact leisurecourses@brock.ac.uk to confirm.

What do you define as a 'beginner'?

Beginner is someone who has little or no knowledge of the subject area.

What do you define as 'intermediate'?

Intermediate is for those who have completed a beginners course with us or have some knowledge of the subject but would like to learn more.
