These relaxed and friendly workshops are an ideal introduction to working with Silver Clay. This is a compound of 99.9% silver powder mixed with a binding agent which when fired burns off to leave fine silver. You will work with Slow Dry Silver Clay to make two and three pieces of Jewellery such as Pendants, Earrings and Charms. You will learn how to handle, shape, stamp, texture and dry Silver Clay and learn how to finish and fire a piece using a blowtorch or a kiln. Plus some traditional silversmithing techniques so that you can create a finished item of Jewellery. You can choose which project(s) you make dependent on materials and time available. You can see some of the pieces that can be made on the Silver Workshops page at www.thejewelleryacademy.co.uk
