Landscapes in Acrylics Workshop

Course Details

Looking to further extend your skills? Come along to this one-day workshop where you can experiment with acrylics within the topic of landscape. You will learn how to mix colours for water and rocks and learn how to paint gentle and crashing waves. Learners will have the chance to experiment with texture, impasto and layering techniques. 

The tutor will demonstrate various techniques throughout the day.

Courses and workshops will be offered throughout the year giving learners the opportunity to further develop their skills. Please see the current Leisure Course brochure for details. 

 

Information & Support

Please bring along:

  • Canvas, canvas board or 300ld Bockingford paper – bring the size you are comfortable with.  We have a small number of table easels for use if required.
  • Large acrylic brushes (round and flat).
  • Acrylic paints.  Please bring your usual set of paints but if this is not available these colours will be suitable – Alizarin Crimson, Raw Sienna, Ultramarine or Cobalt Blue, White, Paynes Grey (Phathalo Turquoise is a good mixing colour for water – so please bring this along if you have it).

The tutor will also have some suitable resources for painting if required but you may prefer to bring your own.

You may wish to bring a packed lunch.

What do you define as a 'beginner'?

Beginner is someone who has little or no knowledge of the subject area.

Intermediate is for those who have completed a beginners course with us or have some knowledge of the subject but would like to learn more.

Are there any age restrictions (young/old)?

Students need to be 19 years old or over.

There is no upper age limit.
