Course Details

Learn drawing skills ranging from simple measurement to creative composition working from the clothed and nude figure, using all media to explore all aspects of 'seeing' and creating.  

The course includes instruction, demonstration and practice of all the formal elements of drawing, and the use of a range of media, and their application to drawing and painting the human figure. You will learn and develop new skills, and demonstrate them using this important and iconic subject.

In a group and one to one basis using a wide variety of materials and techniques from pencil to paint.

Information & Support

This course is for all students to gain art experience and develop their visual drawing skills.

What do I need to bring to the course?
A range of ‘B’ pencils and an A2 drawing pad.

Some materials may need to be purchased to complete the course.

Are there any age restrictions (young/old)?

Students need to be 19 years old or over.

There is no upper age limit.

Can I start the course part way through?

For some courses, this may be possible.  Please contact leisurecourses@brock.ac.uk to confirm.

What do you define as a 'beginner'?

Beginner is someone who has little or no knowledge of the subject area.

Intermediate is for those who have completed a beginners course with us or have some knowledge of the subject but would like to learn more.
