Macramé Workshop – all abilities

Course Details

Through these workshops you will learn the skills to create macramé items, ideal for home décor and gifts, using simple introductory knot techniques. This course is for all abilities and the skills learned can be transferred to a variety of macramé projects. Please contact the New Milton Adult Learning Centre to find out which project will be undertaken on each date.

Information & Support

Materials will be provided at an additional cost of £5, payable to your Tutor on the day. You must bring a pair of sharp scissors and a cat or dog brush (metal bristles) if you already have one - if not, you may be able to borrow one from your Tutor. Please also bring a tape measure. You can bring other optional items depending on your project.

Some items will be available to purchase on the day. You may wish to bring a packed lunch. Lunch is not provided; however, there are food outlets nearby. Additional courses and workshops will be offered throughout the year giving you the opportunity to further develop your skills. Can I start the course part way through?

What do you define as a 'beginner'?

Beginner is someone who has little or no knowledge of the subject area.

What do you define as 'intermediate'?

Intermediate is for those who have completed a beginners course with us or have some knowledge of the subject but would like to learn more.

What do you define as 'advanced'?

Advanced for those who have completed an intermediate course with us or are proficient in the subject.

Are there any age restrictions (young/old)?

Students need to be 19 years old or over.

There is no upper age limit.
