Paint Night Online

Course Details

During each session students will be introduced to a different artist and technique or approach, by looking at and being inspired by specific artworks such as Modigliani's portraits, Georgia O'Keeffe's still life or Monet's landscapes. We will explore colour mixing, paint application and the background or approach of each artist.

This course is designed specifically as a painting introduction for beginners, or students wishing to participate in a creative online art evening.

Key art skills and concepts will include composition, colour, rhythm, tone, scale/size, texture, pattern and mark making.

Information & Support

According to your personal preference, the use of:

Acrylic paints or watercolours and watercolour paper

Soft pastel chalks or oil pastels and thick, heavy cartridge paper.

Colour pencils, brushes, palette, water & basic drawing equipment

Technology suitable for MS Teams (instructions on use and a link to the class will be provided)

Space and surfaces to work eg kitchen table or desk.

Students need to be 19 years old or over.
