Course introduction

Enrichment courses are undertaken alongside your main studies and provide a great opportunity to learn new skills, develop existing talents and gain another qualification to support your UCAS entry and enhance your CV.

Photography enrichment will help you develop visual and technical skills in photography so that you can express yourself with originality and creative flair. It will teach you basic photography techniques, composition and help you to implement them your own image taking.

Skills covered during enrichment photography
Visual skills and visual application.
The use if IT and digital images with professional industry software (Photoshop).
Photographic Techniques.
Exposure, lighting a photographic image.
Camera controls to support visual creativity.
Basic alternative techniques.

Photography enrichment is a good opportunity to familiarise students with cameras techniques and the Photography department’s facilities. It could help create a base for doing AS Photography or Level 2/3 BTEC Art & Design Photography
