Photography – Getting Creative with your Photography

Course Details

This course follows on from Developing your Photography and is suitable for learners who have already mastered the fundamentals of digital photography and are familiar with aperture, shutter priority and full manual shooting etc. It is advisable to speak to the tutor before enrolling in order to ensure that you have the required level of skills.

The course will further develop your photographic skills and techniques and will be based around shooting on location.  As this course is offered during the Summer Term it is hoped that the class will be out and about on location most evenings. Additionally it is hoped to have two half day field trips on Saturday 5th May and Saturday 9th June 2018.  These dates are subject to weather conditions at the time and could change. 

If there is time it is hoped to look at image editing. 

You will be taught by means of presentation, discussion, practical demonstration and hands on experience.

Information & Support

Please bring a note book and pen, your digital camera, tripod, memory card(s) and fully charged batteries and charger along with your camera instruction manual and any other camera equipment you may have that could be useful such as reflectors, filters etc.

 Course handouts will be available to assist you to practice tools and techniques learnt at home.

You will also need a note book and pen, additionally please bring something to keep assignments/hand-outs and photographs in.

Courses and workshops will be offered throughout the year giving learners the opportunity to further develop their skills.

Practical help and advice is also provided to assist students with any kind of disability or individual need, including people for whom English is not their first language. Please contact our centre staff to discuss your needs prior to starting your course.

Are there any age restrictions (young/old)?

Students need to be 19 years old or over.

There is no upper age limit.

Can I start the course part way through?
