Course Details

This course is essentially a follow-on course for those who attended the Introduction to Photoshop course. However, it is also for those students who have some knowledge of Photoshop who wish to further develop their skills. Please speak to the course tutor if you have not attended the first course so that he can ensure you have the required skills.

The course will look in more detail into some of the tools available within Photoshop and best practices in using them. Having learnt some of the basics in Introduction to Photoshop this course will build upon those skills introducing new tools and techniques, such as adjustment layers and masks, camera RAW, lightroom and  colour settings and preferences.

This course is hands on you will be learning about the various tools and techniques of Photoshop by practice.

Course hand-outs will be available to assist you to practice the tools and techniques learnt at home.

You will be taught by means of practical demonstration and hands on experience.

The tutor will be happy to discuss problem issues current Photoshop users may have and build these into the course if applicable.

As the course progresses and by agreement with the tutor, learners will be encouraged to bring their own images to work on.

Information & Support

Courses will be offered throughout the year giving you the opportunity to further develop yuor skills.

Please bring a note book and pen. You may wish to bring something to keep your hand-outs in.

Practical help and advice is also provided to assist students with any kind of disability or individual need, including people for whom English is not their first language. Please contact our centre staff to discuss your needs prior to starting your course.

Are there any age restrictions (young/old)?

Students need to be 19 years old or over.

There is no upper age limit.
