Photoshop Workshop – Black & White Image Processing

Course Details

This one day class will overview shooting black & white images, before moving on to the various techniques available to us in Adobe Camera Raw (ACR) – (also applicable to Adobe Lightroom) and Photoshop to produce stunning black and white images.

This course is suited to anyone who wants to learn about Black & White processing or those who wish to further develop their current skills.

Prerequisites:- A working knowledge of Photoshop Layers and Layer Masks or completion of the Photoshop Layers and Layer Masks workshop prior to this course.

As with most techniques for editing digital images Photoshop offers many ways of performing the task, black & white image processing is no different. We will be looking at the various techniques available to us, along with how we combine some of these techniques through the use of layers and masks giving us multiple layers each capable of performing localised black and white adjustments to bring out the full tonal range of the image.

We shall also touch on printing black and white images and preparing images for the web if time permits.

Please bring along a note book and pen and any images you would like to discuss.  If you would like to save any of your class work, please bring a USB memory stick.  You will need to bring a packed lunch.
