Photoshop Workshop – How to Restore Old Photographs

Course Details

During the day we will be looking at:

  • Capturing your old photographs by photographing them or scanning on a flatbed scanner.
  • Importing your images into photo editing software such as Photoshop.
  • Opening images and performing initial editing steps such as rotating and cropping as appropriate.
  • Adjusting tonality.
  • Removing dust and scratches and repairing folds and creases.
  • Sharpening the image and preparing for print or display on a web site.

This is a hands on course, no prior experience is necessary.

Information & Support

Please bring a notebook and pen and any images you would like to discuss (time permitting).

If you would like to save any of your class work, please bring a USB memory stick.

Course hand-outs will be available to assist you to practice the tools and techniques learnt at home.

Please bring a packed lunch with you.

Beginner is someone who has little or no knowledge of the subject area.

Are there any age restrictions (young/old)?

Students need to be 19 years old or over.

There is no upper age limit.
