During the course you will learn and practice exercises to improve posture whilst building core strength and stability. The class is calm and ends with a cool-down period of relaxation and gentle stretching. You will learn from explanation, demonstration and practice. During practice you will be encouraged and corrected by the tutor which may involve direct contact as body position is a vital element of the Pilates method. You will learn by self-assessment and be monitored and given feedback by the tutor.

You will need to bring:
Small Flat Cushion
Foam Mat ( a few mats are available to borrow initially)
Warm Layers of Loose, Comfortable Clothing
Socks (with non-slip on the soles are recommended)
Bottle of Water
If you have any medical/physical problems which may affect your participation, please consult a doctor/physio/chiropractor prior to commencing the course. If you are concerned about your ability to exercise or any medical conditions, please discuss with the tutor. (As with all exercise classes, students are required to complete a simple and confidential health questionnaire).
