Course Details

If you are a complete beginner or have little experience in pottery, then this is the course for you. 

During the course you will cover all aspects of studio pottery starting with basic techniques then moving on to more complicated techniques such as: coiling, slab building, throwing on the wheel, press moulding, glazing and decorating. 

Information & Support

You will learn through demonstration and practical exploration while being supervised by your tutor. 

Please wear clothes that you do not mind getting dirty and also bring an apron. 

You will need to purchase clay from the Lymington Community Centre at £8 per 12.5 kg bag.

You will be required to take the clay home after each session as there is very limited storage space.

What do you define as a 'beginner'?

Beginner is someone who has little or no knowledge of the subject area.

What do you define as 'intermediate'?

Intermediate is for those who have completed a beginners course with us or have some knowledge of the subject but would like to learn more.

Are there any age restrictions (young/old)?

Students need to be 19 years old or over.

There is no upper age limit.
