This workshop will enable you to experiment with various sketching techniques in pencil and pen and improve observational skills. You will try a variety of sketching techniques involving pen and pencil, use line and tone, use quick sketching techniques, explore a variety of surfaces i.e. brown paper, paper bags etc, explore a variety of topics including figures, building, landscapes, animals etc.
The tutor will demonstrate various techniques at relevant points throughout the day. You will be taught through practical demonstrations and hands on experience.
Information & Support
You can progress on to further workshops planned throughout the year or on to a 10 week Drawing and Painting course.
Please bring along the following:-
Pencil i.e. HB and 2B and eraser.
Fine liner pen or biro
A4 or A3 Sketchpad or cartridge paper.
The Tutor will bring a variety of other drawing surfaces for you to experiment with.
You will need a packed lunch.
