Spanish – Year 1
Course Details
A course for total beginners and those who have completed the holiday Spanish course.
Most of the lesson will be spoken Spanish and learning how to listen to the spoken word.
Topics that will be covered include:
Hola!
Saying hello and goodbye.
Introducing yourself.
Getting to know people.
De donde eres?
Talking about where you are from.
Nationalities.
Occupations.
Numbers.
La familia
Talking about yourself and your family.
En el bar
Ordering food and drink.
Paying the bill.
Navidad y fiesta
Christmas celebrations.The skills of speaking and listening will be developed in a practical and imaginative way in class.
Information & Support
Some reading and writing will be set for homework.
There is no formal testing but progress will be monitored by your Tutor.
We will be using Talk Spanish 1 and the accompanying CDs.

Can I start the course part way through?

What do you define as a 'beginner'?
Beginner is someone who has little or no knowledge of the subject area.

What do you define as 'intermediate'?
Intermediate is for those who have completed a beginners course with us or have some knowledge of the subject but would like to learn more.

What do you define as 'advanced'?
Advanced for those who have completed an intermediate course with us or are proficient in the subject.

Are there any age restrictions (young/old)?
Students need to be 19 years old or over.
There is no upper age limit.
