Course Details

During this course you will revise basic practical situations and be equipped to deal with other matters eg medical.  You will revise basic essential grammar and learn more as you progress.

Learners will already have a good basic understanding of this language. The course is aimed at those learners who want to improve on their basic knowledge in order to communicate in certain practical situations.  Students will learn and practice fundamental language skills, helping them develop basic communication, coupled with a secure understanding of the essentials of life in this country.

You will practice listening, speaking, reading and writing skills in a supportive manner. There is no formal testing.   Your work will be monitored by your tutor and you will have regular homework involving preparation, grammar or written exercises.

Courses are run continually, and you will be able to join these to
develop your skills.

Please bring a note book, pen and a folder to keep any notes/handouts in.

Experienced and competent staff at our adult learning centres can help you decide on your course and progression options.

Practical help and advice is also provided to assist students with any kind of disability or individual need, including people for whom English is not their first language. Please contact our centre staff to discuss your needs prior to starting your course.
