Course Details

This course is for learners who have previously studied the language at a basic level and want to improve their knowledge of the Spanish language. Students will have the opportunity to enhance their vocabulary and learn a greater variety of more advanced structures which will enable them to participate more fully in conversations at a more advanced level. 

The core language skills of speaking, listening, reading and writing will be explored in a way that will add greater depth to your Spanish learning experience. Learners will also gain an insight into the history, customs and everyday life of modern Spain and Latin America. 

There will be no formal assessment, but you will have the opportunity to practice your skills in a supportive environment under the supervision of a qualified native speaking tutor.

Information & Support

Please bring a notebook, pen and a folder to keep any notes/handouts in. Courses are run continually throughout the year which you will be able to join these to further develop your skills. Please see the current Leisure Courses brochure for further details.

What do you define as a 'beginner'?

Beginner is someone who has little or no knowledge of the subject area.

Intermediate is for those who have completed a beginners course with us or have some knowledge of the subject but would like to learn more.

Are there any age restrictions (young/old)?

Students need to be 19 years old or over.

There is no upper age limit.
