Course Details

This course is for those who wish to make beautiful items out of stained (coloured) glass.

By the end of the course learners will have covered all aspects of preparing and cutting coloured sheet glass, preparing the cut pieces, assembling and soldering everything together.

You will be taught by verbal instruction and practical demonstrations.

 

 

Information & Support

There will be other equipment available for you to use during class time (soldering irons and grinders etc.). Materials for future projects will be available to purchase on request.

You will also need to bring to class:

  • Eye safety protection
  • An apron
  • Terry hand towel
  • Ballpoint pen
  • Carbon paper (if possible)
  • A container to carry your cut glass pieces in to take home

Please wear sensible footwear.

Course fees & Duration

10 weeks = £95

There will be an additional charge of £25 for the starter pack which includes all the equipment and glass needed to complete your first project. This charge is to be paid directly to the tutor at the first session

Can I start the course part way through?

What do you define as a 'beginner'?

Beginner is someone who has little or no knowledge of the subject area.

What do you define as 'intermediate'?

Intermediate is for those who have completed a beginners course with us or have some knowledge of the subject but would like to learn more.

Are there any age restrictions (young/old)?

Students need to be 19 years old or over.

There is no upper age limit.
