Table Tennis – Enrichment

Sixth Form

Date (from)

Part Time - September 2017

Course introduction

Enrichment courses are undertaken alongside your main studies and provide a great opportunity to learn new skills, develop existing talents and gain another qualification to support your UCAS entry and enhance your CV.

Table Tennis is a fast growing sport within both HE and FE sectors. Brock is offering enrichment sessions in table tennis for its students. These sessions will be a combination of informal play, and some coaching and skills drills from a club coach.

Whether you are a regular player, or it’s your first time at a table, you will really enjoy the chance to take up a very socially engaging and fun activity.

What can I do with this qualification?

The opportunities for progression in this activity will be available to any individual wishing to take their game to the next level. There will be a club coach present at the session, and within Brock there will be the opportunity to take part in intra competitions.

Not only that, but for talented players there may be the chance to compete at a County College level through the Hampshire competition structure and BCS.

  • I arrived at Brockenhurst with the aim to develop my rugby game. Not only has my technical ability improved but my physicality, knowledge of the game and social skills have as well. This is due to the high standard of coaching alongside top quality facilities, high level games and being surrounded by great players with a similar ambition to me. In my first year of playing for the college, I got the chance to play in the regional final, under floodlights and in front of a large crowd. It was definitely an experience which left me wanting more.
