Course Details

The course is designed for those who have completed at least three terms of the beginners course in the ancient Chinese art of Tai Chi Chuan.  With regular practice, Tai Chi provides a means with which to strengthen mind and body, and thereby combat stress and illness.

Over the term, students will be taught the sequence of slow, flowing movement associated with Tai Chi, plus Chi Kung breathing exercises and meditation, beginning the Short Yeng Set.

It will be taught In the traditional manner with demonstrations and explanations by the tutor.

Suitable for everyone!  All ages and abilities.

If you have any medical/physical problems which may affect your participation, please consult a doctor/physio/chiropractor prior to commencing the course.

If you are concerned about your ability to exercise or any medical conditions, please discuss with the tutor. (As with all exercise classes, students are required to complete a simple and confidential health questionnaire).

Wear loose comfortable clothing, plus flat supportive footwear.

What do you define as a 'beginner'?

Beginner is someone who has little or no knowledge of the subject area.

Intermediate is for those who have completed a beginners course with us or have some knowledge of the subject but would like to learn more.

Are there any age restrictions (young/old)?

Students need to be 19 years old or over.

There is no upper age limit.
