Upholstery – Beginners
Course Details
This learning opportunity will consist mainly of practical work and will feature a range of demonstrations and activities. Importantly, you will develop new skills by working on a personal furniture project. You will also be given advice and instructions on the best ways to achieve professional results.
You will be given some handouts with information during the course and can build a portfolio if you choose to.
Courses will run continually allowing learners the opportunity to further develop their skills. You can study for the Upholstery – City and Guilds if you wish.
Information & Support
During each session you will be given instructions and then supervised as you work. You will be able to ask questions and encouraged to take notes. Although we will have some tools – a full list will be discussed at the first session – it is advisable to bring a pair of scissors, a hammer, and a tack remover. Please also bring an item of furniture (preferably a stool/small chair with a drop-in seat) and a notepad & pen. A camera would be useful as well. There will be a maximum of ten learners.

Are there any age restrictions (young/old)?
Students need to be 19 years old or over.
There is no upper age limit.
