Course Details

The painting of the Landscape using watercolour techniques will be taught. The use of advanced watercolour techniques using colour experimentation and theory will be explored.

No prior experience required for this course, it is open to those with either little or no experience. The course also facilitates learners with prior knowledge of watercolour.  PLEASE NOTE – there will be a maximum of 10 students on this course.

There will be practical demonstrations of all techniques taught as well as Tutor talks with individual discussion and advice, demonstration of difficult pictures and coping with problem areas.

Information & Support

Students will be asked to provide basic sketching materials including an A4/A3 watercolour sketchbook and watercolour paints/brushes. Further equipment suggestions will be discussed as the course proceeds depending on the students needs and the desired outcomes.

Student’s are encouraged to continue on to our Summer term sessions increasing their knowledge and experience in painting in watercolour.

Practical help and advice is also provided to assist students with any kind of disability or individual need, including people for whom English is not their first language. Are there any age restrictions (young/old)?

Students need to be 19 years old or over.

There is no upper age limit.
